In 2011, Hayley began her Venturing career with Crew 2 in Shenandoah Area Council (SAC). For the majority of her eight years in Crew 2, she served as her crew’s president. Three years later, Hayley became the first SAC Venturing Officers Association (VOA) President, serving for the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 terms. It was during her final term on her council’s VOA when the Southern Region Area 7 (SR7) VOA reached out to her, asking if she would like to join the SR7 VOA as the Vice President of Program. Hayley joined the area in January of the 2015-2016 term. During this term, the stepping stones for The Last Venturer was created. Hayley continued serving with the area after her term ended. From 2016-2017, Hayley was the SR7 VOA President and served as the Vice President of Communications during the 2017-2018 term.

Apart from leadership positions, Hayley has worked at the SAC’s camp, Camp Rock Enon for several years in various positions. In 2018, Hayley earned her Summit and Ranger award.

Now, Hayley is living in Wyoming, working towards her educational goals. This spring, Hayley graduated from Laramie County Community College (LCCC) with two Associates degrees in Education and History. This fall, she will be attending the University of Wyoming, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science Secondary Education, with a concurrent major in History.

In her free time, Hayley works as a writing consultant with LCCC. Hayley’s hobbies include creative writing, hiking, watching Netflix, and playing Sims 4.
