Marybeth Chaconas - Assoc. Adv. Program

Marybeth has been involved with the BSA since 1996 when she registered as a Den Leader for her son, Derek’s, pack. In 2004 she chartered her Venturing Crew and attended National Camp School to be an aquatics instructor, and has been certified ever since. In 2015 Marybeth had the privilege to be aquatics staff at NOAC and in 2018 was in charge of aquatics volunteers for VenturingFest. At World Jamboree she and her daughter, Kinny, will be staffing as well. Marybeth was awarded Vigil for the Order of the Arrow in 2016. She also has two other sons heavily involved in the BSA program. Outside of Scouting, Marybeth lives in Roanoke, Virginia with her husband, 2 dogs, and 3 cats. She is the Supervising Veterinarian at Franklin County’s Human Society’s Planned Pethood Clinic and Adoption Center.
